Super sub Martial sends Man Utd to the semis

 


Manchester Utd's chances of getting their hands on silverware this season were at stake visiting Everton at Goodison Park. Both sides were heavy rotated to freshen up some players with Man Utd making 9 changes from the team that won in the EPL.

 Man Utd started the match in high gear and controlled the match for the biggest time the first but couldn't use their possession and chances to break the deadlock against a resilient Everton. The score at halftime was goal less and Everton had grown into the game by the end of the first half.

 The second half was balanced with both teams having decent possession as they tried a way to score a goal. Looking for a breakthrough,Man Utd brought on Anthony Martial in search of a goal. His brief cameo was impactful and changed the match and Man Utd looked like finding the breakthrough.

 As the game seemed to end in a goal less draw, Martial dropped back and picked Lindelof's pass from midfield which he laid onto for Cavani to score a wonderful strike and give Utd the led in the 88th minute. Deep into stoppage time, Martial scored a goal in the 96th minute to send Man Utd to the semis.
